Canyon

A 30,000 sq ft installation in printed architectural mesh, celebrating the local landscape.

Our inspiration came directly from the Los PeΓ±asquitos Canyon Preserve, where oak woodlands and chaparral hills reveal subtle layers of texture, color, and movement.

We translated those canyon impressions into a series of hand-painted artworks in the studioβ€”gestural watercolor washes and fast pencil lines to capture the lively spirit of the nearby canyon.

We then transformed these paintings into digital layered artwork printed as multi-story printed mesh panels that wrap the building’s faΓ§ade. From a distance the structures shimmer with soft color and reflect in the walls of windows, and up close the loose marks bring a sense of the handmade.

Here’s the view from an interior office β€” an immersive perspective that shows how the painterly artwork animates the interior spaces as well.
